The South Avon and Stour Agricultural Society of Christchurch in Hampshire, established in 1794, is the oldest of its kind in England.

The objects of the Society, as stated in the 1968 Year Book, be confined to the reward of agricultural and other employees employed by Members of the Society, and the general encouragement of the Agricultural industry.
