1884 leaflet by Leadenhall Press, London, England

Publishers Leaflet

  • 222 x 286mm (8¾ x 11¼in)

The publishers and printers of this leaflet were Messrs Field and Tuer who were the leaders of the ‘Antique Printing’ movement of the 1880s.

It was consciously archaic, in reaction to the mechanical complexity of the "Artistic Printing" movement, with its elaborate use of rules and borders.

From Printed Ephemera by John Lewis first published in 1962.
